Jackelyne Arevalo
Jackelyne Arevalo is a dedicated immigration attorney committed to justice, advocacy, and service to immigrant communities. Her passion for law began early. At 13, she was one of only two students in her school selected to participate in the Hispanic Mothers and Daughters program at Arizona State University, a competitive colege-preparatory initiative. She attended intensive workshops on leadership, academic success, and higher education readiness, earning the Star Award among her cohort for her dedication.
Ms. Arevalo later received a ful-ride scholarship to Arizona State University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and earned a Certificate in Socio-Legal Studies. Her coursework included studying the war on terrorism, domestic violence, criminal justice reform, and advanced legal writing, providing a strong foundation in analysis and advocacy. While at ASU, she volunteered as a Child Advocate with the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, interned at the Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office gaining insight into criminal defense, and competed on the Sun Devil Mock Trial team, developing courtroom and public speaking ski ls. She also interned at an immigration law firm and was offered a ful-time position as a legal assistant, preparing USCIS applications.
Ms. Arevalo earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Texas Southern University – hurgood Marshall School of Law, focusing on immigration law, criminal law, and trial advocacy. She became a Certified Mediator for the State of Texas and worked as a Law Clerk for an immigration firm drafting EOIR motions, preparing USCIS/EOIR applications, and helped licensed attorney’s prepare for trial. In 2026, she became a licensed attorney with the Arizona State Bar and she continues to expand her practice in immigration law.
