A safe and confidential environment where trauma survivors can receive emotional support and develop tools to strengthen their well-being.
New Frontier Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healing, safety, and the overall well-being of immigrant trauma survivors.
We understand that an immigration journey can involve much more than legal needs. Our person-centered approach also recognizes each individual’s emotional, physical, and social needs.
Our mission is to help survivors rebuild stability, strengthen their well-being, and move toward a life free from violence.
A safe and confidential environment where trauma survivors can receive emotional support and develop tools to strengthen their well-being.
Trauma-informed sessions focused on holistic healing, where participants can share experiences, build coping tools, and feel supported.
We help connect individuals with mental health resources, psychological support, medical care, food banks, and other community-based services.
New Frontier Foundation’s wellness services are coordinated by Laura Quijano Nieto, a nurse who graduated from Universidad de La Sabana in 2021.
Laura has training and certifications in Psychological First Aid, HIPAA compliance, and Comprehensive Care for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence. Her experience allows her to provide compassionate, ethical, and survivor-centered support, particularly for individuals navigating VAWA-related immigration matters.
Her commitment to humanitarian service combines clinical knowledge, psychological first aid, and a human rights-based approach to provide compassionate and professional support.
