Anna Hamilton
Anna Hamilton is an attorney whose career reflects a deep commitment to justice, equity, and the protection of vulnerable individuals. With a background spanning immigration law, civil rights, and equal opportunity compliance, Anna brings a multifaceted legal perspective to every matter she handles. A native Texan, Anna earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston, where she represented clients in Immigration Court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Fifth Circuit as a student attorney. She holds a Master of Arts in cross-cultural studies and a B.A. in Religion with a minor in Psychology — a foundation that informs her culturally competent and trauma-informed approach to client representation. After law school, Anna practiced immigration law before joining UH’s Equal Opportunity office as an EO Specialist and Investigator, handling matters involving Title IX, the ADA, and antidiscrimination law. Earlier in her career, she worked as a teacher at a private learning center and as a colege tutor — experiences that sharpened her ability to communicate complex information clearly, a skil she brings to her legal practice daily. Anna is admitted in New Mexico and is an active member of the state bar’s Immigration Law Section and Women’s Bar Association, and the ABA’s Civil Rights and Social Justice Section. She holds multiple Title IX certifications through ATIXA and NACUA. Anna is passionate about serving those who face systemic barriers and approaches every client relationship with empathy, diligence, and care.
